Physical Properties of Pressureless Sintered Silicon Carbide Ceramic Products
Pressureless sintered silicon carbide balls are made by high-temperature sintering of nano-scale silicon carbide powder. They possess high strength, high wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and can be used for a long time in various harsh environments.
Silicon carbide balls of 0.5-2mm have extremely high hardness and very low impurity introduction, making them an ideal grinding medium for ultrafine grinding of materials such as silicon carbide, boron carbide, titanium carbide, and silicon nitride; silicon carbide balls of 2-8mm have low specific gravity and high hardness, making them an ideal grinding medium for stirred mills; silicon carbide balls of 8-15mm are an ideal grinding medium for drum-type ball mills; and pressureless sintered silicon carbide precision balls of 1-15mm also play an important role in bearing ball applications.
